Gluten-Free Deviled Eggs

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs

  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free mayonnaise

  • 1 teaspoon gluten-free Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar (make sure it's gluten-free)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Paprika and fresh herbs for garnish (optional)


Instructions:

1. Hard-Boil the Eggs:

  • Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with water. Bring the water to a boil.

  • Once boiling, cover the saucepan with a lid, remove it from heat, and let it sit for 12-14 minutes.

  • Drain the hot water and immediately transfer the eggs to an ice water bath to cool. This makes peeling easier.

2. Peel the Eggs:

  • Gently tap each egg on a hard surface to crack the shell, then roll it between your hands to loosen the shell.

  • Carefully peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.

3. Make the Filling:

  • Mash the egg yolks with a fork until they are finely crumbled.

  • Add the gluten-free mayonnaise, gluten-free Dijon mustard, and white wine vinegar to the mashed yolks. Mix until the filling is smooth and creamy.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the ingredients to your preferred flavor.

4. Fill the Eggs:

  • Using a spoon or a piping bag with a decorative tip, fill each egg white half with the yolk mixture.

5. Garnish:

  • Sprinkle the tops of the deviled eggs with paprika for a classic touch.
