Deli Paper & Food Wraps

Is all deli paper compostable?

Most traditional deli wraps are coated in petroleum-based paraffin wax, which prevents them from breaking down in a compost pile. We’ve eliminated this problem by sourcing compostable paper deli wraps that use a plant-based soy wax. These are certified to return to the earth as healthy soil after use, meeting BPI standards for compostability. By switching to our certified wraps, you’re providing your customers with a convienent, sustainable and commercially compostable alternative to plastic packaging.

Does compostable deli paper tear or leak with greasy foods?

A major concern is that eco-friendly wraps will fail under the weight of greasy sandwiches or hot burgers. We’ve overcome this by engineering heavy-duty compostable paper that provides superior grease and moisture resistance. Our wraps are designed to stay strong and keep your customers' hands clean, matching the performance of standard deli paper. You get the same reliable food protection you expect, but in a sustainable format that aligns with your brand values.

Can I use compostable paper in the microwave?

Many people are unsure if sustainable food wraps are safe for heating meals. Our compostable paper and deli paper wraps are microwave-safe, providing a heat-resistant, grease-proof barrier that works perfectly in both professional kitchens and at home. You can reheat food quickly without worrying about harmful chemicals leaching into your meal. This gives you a versatile, worry-free solution for everything from breakfast burritos to hot deli sandwiches.
