These PLA-lined containers use a corn-based resin lining instead of a petroleum-based plastic lining to provide a barrier against liquid leakage. They are certified compostable by BPI (Biodegradable Products Institute) to compost within 180 days in a commercial compost facility.  These are made from plants, and make a perfect individual serving size for hot or cold foods!  A great hot food container for curry, oatmeal, rice dishes, beans, chicken with a dip, etc. Or use it as a cold food container for granola, yogurt, fruit, or veggie cup, or as a perfect 12 oz ice cream container for single-serve ice cream! Great for take-out foods and even better for the environment!
