World Centric® compostable 2-3 oz flat clear cold cup lids with a green stripe are made from PLA, which is made from plants. They are suitable for cold liquids and freezer-safe.  They are Compost Manufacturing Alliance (CMA) Certified Compostable and TUV OK Compost to compost within 180 days in a commercial composting facility, which may not exist in your area.  They are as light and strong as traditional plastic, and the perfect leak-proof combination of a portion cup with a lid (Portion cup sold separately). The clean and clear design of this sample cup lid is perfect for the needs and requirements of the food service industry as well as the individual consumer who is concerned about sustainability. With a perfect design for consumers and restaurant owners, these green stripe lids meet the new labeling requirements for compostable food service products in Washington State and Colorado. Effective in 2024, these laws require certain compostable products to be labeled in ways that make them “readily and easily identifiable” as compostable.
